Newhall Valley Country Park.

Nice early morning trip to Newhall Valley Country Park near Sutton Coldfield on yet another very mild early January morning where I also had a walk around the very impressive grounds of the New Hall Hotel and Spa which is a moated 14th century hotel, which also has a good Nature Trail which I'd never noticed before. The grounds holds many different birds due mainly to the many different trees and is in the middle of Newhall Valley Country Park which is an area of 198 acres of green belt countryside.

Birds seen today were Blue Tit, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Nuthatch, Dunnock, Wren, Robin, Starling, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Redwing, Song Thrush, Jay, Blackbird, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Woodpigeon, Pied Wagtail, Pheasant (Cock), Buzzard, Kestrel, Grey Heron, Moorhen, Mallard and Canada Goose.
