Good morning out bird spotting at Shard End Lake and along the River Cole. Birds of note spotted were a Redwing, a Kingfisher, a pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Pied Wagtails, Wrens, Song Thrushes, Robins, Long Tailed Tits, Coal Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Tufted Ducks, Lesser Black Backed Gulls, Greater Black Backed Gulls. In a Old Peoples home garden that backs onto the lake and is well stocked up with bird feeders, fat balls etc. I also saw approx 75 House and Tree Sparrows and approx 50 Starlings, as well as plenty of Tits.
