Another trip to Shard End Lake followed by walk along a section of the River Cole. Birds of note spotted today were a Kestrel hovering above a mouse or a bird about 15 foot in front of me (until it was scared off by a dog walker !), a Great Spotted Woodpecker, Long Tailed Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Robins, a couple of Grey Herons including one on top of a house, Tufted Ducks, a Great Crested Grebe and plenty of Lesser and Greater Back Blacked Gulls. It was also good to see Moorhens back on the River Cole now it's warmed up a bit. Unusually today I didn't see one squirell.
