Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

A visit to the cold, wet and gloomy Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston. Ironically it didn't start raining until I was waiting to go in. I'm not a fan of animals or birds in cages, all the same, bird species seen today in cages were Blue Fronted Amazon Parakeet, Greater Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Blue Macaw, Yellow Macaw, Green Winged Macaw, Azure Winged Magpie, Temminck's Tragopan Pheasant, Quaker Parakeet, White Cheeked Turaco, Himmalayan Monal, Hill Mynah, Purple Glossy Starling, Superb Spreo Starling and White Crested Laughing Thrush. All other bird species spotted (despite the rain) were Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Chaffinch, Song Thrush, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Woodpigeon, Starling, Peacock, Peahen, Pintail, Teal, Gadwall, Mallard, Moorhen, Tufted Duck and Grey Heron. Despite the typical English weather, it was a good day anyway (apart from the Scummers winning at Wembley) A.V.F.C. 1874 :)
