Babbs Mill Nature Reserve, Kingshurst.











Good days birdwatching in Kingshurst. Bird species spotted were Kingfisher, 70 plus Redwing feeding off the grass along with 50 plus Fieldfare, Jay, Song Thrush, Goldfinch, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Robin, Dunnock, Collared Dove, Grey Heron, Goosander, Great Crested Grebe, Tufted Duck and plenty of all the different Gull species. Also saw 20 odd Starlings having a bath in a water furrows left by a big vehicle. Also found some excellent winter fungus on a dead log, 'Flammulina Velutpes' more commonly known as Velvet Foot.
