Lady Bradford's, Castle Bromwich.

Today was time for a walk around Lady Bradford's in Castle Bromwich which as you might suspect was very autumnal looking especially with the presence of many varieties of Fungi.

Highlight of the day was seeing Goldcrest (at least four of them) in the trees in the grounds of St Mary and St Margaret, it wasn't hard to miss them because for such little birds they are very vocal, also very vocal in the grounds were the local population of Song Thrush, the other highlight was seeing a Grey Heron in Lady Bradford's, just a pity it flew off when it saw me, it flew into the large patch of field which is completely inaccessible due to the eight foot high brambles which have blocked access from both sides, which is a pity because that's where traditionally a lot of the birds at this location are situated such as Goldfinch because of the many Teasel that populate that area but at least the birds and foxes that are in that area have a largely safe haven from humans.

Birds seen today were, Grey Heron, Goldcrest, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Chaffinch, House Sparrow, Wren, Robin, Starling, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Song Trush, Blackbird, Woopdpigeon, Carrion Crow and Magpie.
