Cole End Park Local Nature Reserve, Coleshill, North Warwickshire.

Another trip out to North Warwickshire today to visit Cole End Park Local Nature Reserve in Coleshill. I'd actually planned a trip to Kingsbury Water Park but with rain forecast I decided to go here instead but you've guessed it, it didn't rain even though it threatened too, with very ominousness grey clouds adorning the sky throughout my visit.

Highlight again  was seeing and hearing all the juvenile songbirds especially a great looking Robin a flock of Goldfinch which included many juveniles.

Birds seen today were, Buzzard, Kestrel, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Chiffchaff, Whitethroat, Nuthatch, House Sparrow, Robin, Starling, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Woodpigeon, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Swift, House Martin, Swallow, Grey Wagtail, Moorhen, Mallard, Grey Heron (flying overhead) as well as the following juveniles, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Goldfinch and Robin.

Because it was quite humid there was also an abundance of Butterflies including the following, Peacock, Meadow Brown, Speckled Wood, Small Tortoiseshell, Ringlet, Small White and Small Skipper.

Wildflowers seen today where, Musk Mallow, Wild Blue Geranium, Birds Foot Trefoil and White Campion.
