Shustoke Reservoir.
Another trip to Shustoke today, where the highlights were seeing 50 plus Mute Swans on the reservoir, a flock of 150 plus Starling in what was the rapeseed field and seeing the six Cygnets still doing fine. Birds spotted today were Goldfinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Starling, House Martin, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jay, Pied Wagtail, Kestrel, Buzzard, Grey Heron, Mute Swan, Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Tufted Duck, Cormorant and the following young, Cygnet (6) Great Crested Grebe (3) Duckling (4) and plenty Little Grebe chicks. Unfortunately the only Grey Squirrel seen today was a dead one not far from the house, he's now ended up in the pet cemetery aka the back garden, along with an unknown dead bird, possibly a Starling, which I found dead on the green not far from my house, apparently the kids (scum) have been kicking a football into the trees where birds are nesting, to deliberately kill the juvenile birds, it'll be the last thing the bastards ever do if I catch the little shits.
