Shustoke Reservoir.










Very foggy this morning at Shustoke Reservoir, which was not great for bird spotting, still managed to see the following birds of note though, Coal Tits, Long Tailed Tits, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Greenfinches, Goldfinches, Chaffinches, Pied Wagtail, Robins, a Goosander, Gadwalls, Pochards, Teals, Tufted Ducks and Cormorants. I also saw plenty of Tree Sparrows and Blackbirds, which are always nice to see.

Plantsbrook Nature Reserve,






Had a quick 90 minute walk around Plantsbrook this morning, saw a fair amount of birds including Bullfinches, Reed Buntings, Fieldfares, Song Thrushes, Chaffinches, Jays, Robins, Long Tailed Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits and Tufted Ducks. I've also had few Meadow Pipits passing through the back garden over Christmas, that is when the Pied Wagtails aren't chasing them off, the Song Thrushes and Blackbirds have had a few stand offs as well.

Lady Bradfords, Castle Bromwich.





Another foray to Castle Bromwich on a lovely cold and crisp morning. Not many birds to be seen today but fortunately I saw some Goldcrests directly above me hopping about in a tree for about 5 minutes, I also saw plenty of Wrens, Song Thrushes, Coal Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits and Long Tailed Tits.

Back garden in the snow.





It's been a busy day in the back garden today in the snow. Birds spotted were a pair of Pied Wagtails (residents all day long), a Song Thrush, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Robins, Tree Sparrows, Dunnocks, Blackbirds, Magpies, Starlings, Wood Pigeons and Feral Pigeons feasting on mealworms, cake, digestives, sunflower hearts, suet, and apples as well as the usual fat balls, suet block with mealworms and bird seed.

Babbs Mill Nature Reserve, Kingshurst.











Babbs Mill Nature Reserve on a snowy Saturday morning. Not many birds to be seen today, the only birds of note were Wrens, Robins, Pied Wagtails and a couple of Grey Heons on the nearby River Cole.
